Invitations For Teen Girl Birthdays And How To Create Them

Whether your daughter is thirteen or nineteen, she is still a teen, and she is still your little girl. She may look at you and tell you that she is not a little girl anymore, but you know better. It will take her a few more years to learn that, even if she’s nineteen. Wherever she fits in the teens, it’s her birthday and you’ve decided to have a party which includes creating invitations.

As a teenager she is going to have a lot of say in this one, though not totally (ever). It could be a sleep over, maybe a pool party, might invite the guys or may not. Lots of decisions to be made, and they will probably involve her closest friends as well. Though they are all different, often times teen girls start to confer with friends a little more than parents. Most of the time it’s fine, and parents understand. It’s not usually about terribly important matters, at least not to the parents. How do you like my shoes? Does this dress work for me? Do you think I should change my hair style? I was thinking about going out with Johnny. What do you think? Now this question is important, and dad says “No way, even if you’re 21, or 60″.

Most teen girls are like Frank Sinatra, they’re going to do it their way. However, the following tips may be helpful (at least to the parents).

1. Once the birthday girl has decided exactly how she wants it all to come down, she needs to run it by mom and dad. If there are any important areas that could later become questionable, it would be wise to write them down and everyone sign or initial it. For example, if we’re talking sleep over and guys are invited to the party, only the girls are sleeping over, and all the guys will be gone by 10 PM (not 11, or 10:30, or 10:15).
