Wedding Photo Books And How To Make Great Ones

By Phylis Haney

Weddings are one of the few occasions that most always result in a photo book of some kind, however crude they may be. Sometimes they don’t turn out all that well simply because there was no real thought or planning behind them. Like most anything that you want to turn out well, it doesn’t just happen on its own. Some people can’t afford a professional photographer, so they don’t give much thought to pictures, and basically end up with some that their family members took.

You’ll be pleased to know that it’s not about money, though having a professional photographer certainly doesn’t hurt. How to make great wedding photo books is strictly about planning. If you will follow a few simple suggestions you can make a truly great wedding photo book that will impress anyone who looks at it.

You need a decent selection of pictures to choose from, which should include at least 40-60 candid shots taken at the wedding and reception (you could also include all other parties that may be planned, such as bachelorette, bachelor, shower, and rehearsal dinner), and then the usual planned shots of bride and groom with family, cutting cake, etc. (Write all these down and check them off as taken so that you don’t fail to get them).
