There are plenty of individuals that will agree when you say that ice fishing can be just as much fun as conventional soft water fishing. The skills needed to catch fish under the ice may be different than the skills needed to catch fish in soft water, but that does not make it any easier. Most people that will not try ice fishing do so because they are frightened they won't like the winter facet of it all.
