Though today's technological advances have replaced the lost art of writing, it sure hasn't replaced the effects of it. A handwritten letter on nice stationery is remembered long after the email has been deleted. While emails, text messages, and Facebook all have their place, it's a mistake to overlook the power of a handwritten letter.
If you've been writing letters using custom stationery, then you know what I'm talking about. You cannot do this more than a couple of times without getting a response that says it was very meaningful. It may be a phone call, or an email, but handwritten letters are appreciated so much more than any other form of communication that people normally say something about it when you write to them.
One of the reasons that so many people don't write is the fact that they either don't have any fine stationery, or they don't have any stationery at all. It's usually the latter. Often times, once they have some in hand, and it's really nice stationery, they are both reminded and inspired to use it.
If you're going to write a letter, do it on good quality premium stationery. The best custom adult stationery is not that terribly expensive, particularly when you consider how much it's appreciated by those who receive your letters, and the fact that you don't run through hundreds of pages of it every year. You may spend $30 to $50 and it last you a couple of years or more.
